Great Achievements

Andrew had a hearing test done because of concerns due to his prematurity. He passed the hearing test with flying colors although he may develop selective hearing like his father... (you know; where he hears his mother only when he wants to...lol) He also did really great on his developmental assesment even scoring a month ahead in social and cognitive development. We are so pleased with his progress. His newest achievement is scooting around. At this point he can scoot anywhere and is quite happy with himself. Now if only we can talk him into crawling...

Halloween at the hospital....

Andy is scheduled to see his doctors on Halloween. We are going to dress him up as a bumble bee, maybe he can 'sting' any nurse who he doesn't approve of. Please keep him in your prayers, we always like to have good news and not have to return to the hospital very soon. As his mother, I feel like he is doing great and he is tremendously strong and starting to 'put his chub on!' Thanks for stopping by and as always the Tingey family can be contacted at amberjoy83 at gmail dot com.

A miracle is born.....

Matthew Andrew Tingey was delivered by c-section 4 and half weeks early. He weighed in at 4 pounds 15 ounces. He stayed in the NICU for 9 days and shortly after coming home was diagnosed with a congetial heart defect known as aortic stenosis. He has made wonderful progress and the doctors are very impressed that so far he has needed no surgical interventions. Andy regulary visits Primary Children's Hospital to be seen by his cardiologist. We are so thankful and blessed for the health God has granted him. Every day we spend with him is a gift we do not take for granted. We have high hopes for him and know that he will live a long and adventerous life, we are just experiencing small bumps in the road right now. Thanks for stopping by his care page and we appreciate your thoughts and prayers for him.
